Our Story

Our experience spans international trade, global markets, policy and sustainability. Karpos brings these perspectives together to make complex change clearer—and turn insight into thoughtful, practical work.

Meet the Founder

Anne-Lise Hadzopoulos is the Founder of Karpos Trade Advisory and a Fertilizer Trader at Fertrade International.

Her current work gives her direct exposure to international commodity markets, trade flows, supplier and buyer relationships, contracts and market-access questions. It provides the commercial grounding behind Karpos: an understanding that regulatory and market developments ultimately need to be translated into decisions that work in practice.

Before moving into commodity trading, Anne-Lise worked on industry decarbonisation and the First Movers Coalition at the World Economic Forum. Her previous experience also spans international trade data, policy analysis, communications and stakeholder engagement through roles with Trade Data Monitor and the World Meteorological Organization.

She holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Development Studies from the Geneva Graduate Institute.

Karpos is founder-led, but not limited to one person’s expertise.

Through Karpos, Anne-Lise helps internationally active businesses understand complex developments in trade, markets and sustainability regulation—and turn them into clear analysis, practical commercial decisions and useful communications.

Her approach combines commercial understanding, structured research and clear delivery. Clients work directly with Anne-Lise from the initial conversation through to the final output.

When an engagement requires specialised legal, customs, carbon-accounting, technical or verification knowledge, Karpos identifies and coordinates appropriately qualified independent professionals. This gives clients one accountable point of contact while ensuring that specialist work is handled by the right expertise.
